Another milestone

Another one of those parental milestones has passed. It's not one I had really thought about but it is none the less momentous for that - a child of mine has tried a food I don't like and won't eat.

First Born has not only dared to try black pudding, but has decided he loves it. I am impressed. Now if only the boy who will happily munch on breakfast foods made from pig's blood could be persuaded to eat a vegetable now and again.

  1. I love black pudding! Way to go Firstborn. Now, see what he does with liver?

  2. Ha! Hubby says he is a Scot but can't bring himself to eat blood pudding or sausage! Or haggis either. I asked him what kind of Scot he was and he replied the kind what looks good in a kilt! LOL!

  3. Oh yuck. Still, it takes all sorts.

  4. I'm thankful my girls share my loathing of mustard!

  5. Maybe if you pretended to hate vegetables and be all grossed out by their texture and colour, he'd jump right on them?

  6. Eh? Is it that unusual, that he likes stuff you don't?? That kind of thing never even occurred to me before as D eats weird things I don't, like HP sauce and tomato sauce (yuk!).

Marag though ... Mmmmm. Stornoway marag ...Yum! (Sorry. Can't get used to you lowlanders calling it black pudding!)
