New stuff!

Having bought new beds for at least some rooms of the cottage, Husband and Sister-In-Law surpassed themselves by going on to buy a groovy wee dishwasher (Husband hates washing dishes and I am not complaining). It's a fantastic bargain, delivery is so cheap as to be virtually free and there is a perfect little corner of the kitchen where it will fit.

Did I mention it's also bright yellow? I mean BRIGHT YELLLOW!!!!!! We may not win any interior design awards, but no-one will be able to accuse us of being dull.

Now we just need to find a luminous pink toaster.

  2. I cannot believe that it's even possible to buy any appliance in bright yellow. Amazing.

Well, now you have your color/colour scheme for the new kitchen.

  3. I think that bright yellow is perfect for a cottage! You know my sister and I shared a bath growing up that my folks added to our home. The tub, toilet and sink were lilac! My folks really apologized to us, but we told them not to because we loved it!!!!

  4. Mummy Dearest: If I could justify spending that sort of money on a toaster, that would be the one I'd buy!

And for the sake of completeness, here is the actual dishwasher (described by sister-in-law as "fluorescent mustard"): http://www.which.co.uk/home-and-garden/kitchen/reviews/dishwashers/bosch-sks50e11eu/review/

  5. Everything in my house matches. Well, all my kitchen equipment is white. Does that count?

  6. Reminds me of an episode of ‘Only Fools and Horses’ when Del got some yellow Luminous paint …Sounds like you could probably go down stairs in the middle of the night and wash some dishes without putting on the lights….
